We finally made it home after a long, meandering drive from the Florida Panhandle. I have a lot of information to share about Navarre (Fl), a trolley tour in Savannah, and stops in Charleston, Murrells Inlet, and Green Swamp (NC), and will post the info in parts to make it more digestible.
In the meantime, I'll leave you with a couple of short video clips. We took the first at the pier at Pensacola Beach. This pier was shown on the Weather Channel back in 2004 when one of the intense hurricanes ripped through that city, knocking out bridges and other structures including this pier and its sibling in Navarre. (The former was rebuilt, while the latter remains a skeleton in the sand.) The second shows what happens with one rides a bike too close to a terns nest in Gulf Shores National Seashore on Navarre.
