Novel Release and Upcoming Posts

We had a great visit to western North Carolina that involved waterfalls, elk, a bear, cycling a few miles down the Parkway, and great discussions with a descendant of one of the Cherokee who escaped the trail of tears, so I'll be covering all that and more in upcoming posts.

Before I begin that series, I'm thrilled to (belatedly!) announce the release of my novel, Learning to Live Again, the story of a young woman struggling to move on after a botched carjacking turns her into a widow. Frequent readers of this blog know how much I love the Carolinas, so it's no surprise the novel is set in the Upstate, in the fictional town of Taylors Mill (modeled after Greenville, SC with a few changes in topograpy.) Additional locations woven into the story include the Blue Wall, Table Rock State Park, Glassy Mountain Township, and Looking Glass Falls. Learning to Live Again is available on Kindle under my pen name, Kimberli D McKay: Learning to Live Again on Amazon

Now onward to Cherokee and Bryson City!

Thanks, Kathy. We had such a great time despite the unusual heat. Bryson City is small but charming, and we loved that side of the state. It felt as if we'd traveled to an entirely different region.

Thanks for reading the book. I hope you enjoy!
